Your Perfect Passover Made Easy with Behrman House
Written by Behrman House Staff, 13 of March, 2014The first Passover Seder is April 14th! We have all of the resources you need to make it through-before, during, and after.
Before the Seder
Prepare your students with the Hebrew Wizards Passover Board and teach them everything they need to know about the holiday. Help your students learn or practice the four questions with this mah nishtanah reading aid. (Check out this FREE Hebrew Wizards Passover app too!)
Order your haggadahs. This year we introduced the new Passover seder activity book, Frogs in the Bed. This humorously illustrated version of the popular seder song, "One Morning (The Frog Song)" By Shirley Cohen Steinberg helps build excitement before the Passover seder, and then keeps kids following along during the seder. With this activity book you can help children follow the naming of all the items on the seder plate, learn the Four Questions in Hebrew with English translation, and recount the story of Exodus in a Passover Comic. Students will also enjoy directions for making a sparkly Elijah's cup, and a template for creating their own jumping frog!
Don't know which haggadah to use? Check out the guide to choose the one that will suit your seder best.
Plan your seder with this Planning Checklist from the haggadah, Simply Seder, to make seder preparation easy, keep track of all the details, and avoid a last minute rush.
Get Cooking! Download this free Charoset recipe from Get Cooking! A Jewish American Family Cookbook by Mama Doni and Recipe Rachel. Order the cookbook for all 14 Passover recipes, plus a whole year of recipes and music for the whole family!
Set the Scene. As you are putting together the seder plate, watch this funny video with your kids to "meet" each ingredient and learn what they represent.
Add the effects with the jumping frogs your kids made from Frogs in the Bed and these beautiful Origami Pyramids for centerpieces as well as a fun classroom or family craft.
Breathe and relax with help from this survival guide that will give you helpful tips and suggestions to make the most of your holiday.
