Travel (Virtually) to Israel for the High Holidays with ISRAEL21c: Rosh Hashanah

Although these activities are suggested IN Israel, various resources are available to share with students to help celebrate Israeli style.
Rosh Hashanah, September 14-15, 2015
Every Rosh Hashanah Israelis consume about 1,600 tons of honey! You can take your students on a virtual tour of Shadmat Devora in the Lower Galilee and take a closer look at honey production.

After Rosh Hashanah you can help students experience the annual Piyyut Festival (September 17-21) at Beit Avi Chai in Jerusalem through videos featuring a variety of musicians as well as a different Israeli cultures and traditions.
This is part one of a three part series to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot.
