Written by Behrman House Staff, 28 of January, 2013

Passover begins early this year; the first seder is March 25th! We have all of the resources you need to make it through–before, during, and after!

Before the Seder

Prepare your students. Hebrew Wizards Passover Board with everything you students need to know about the holiday. And a Mah Nishtanah Board to practice the Four Questions as a class. Try out the Hebrew Wizards Passover app too.

Order your haggadahs. Our newest haggadah, Simply Seder, has been popular for families, congregations, and schools. Teachers are using it as a tool to teach the blessings and prayers, to host mock seders, and to re-tell the story of Passover. Educator Kim Beame got a copy for every 3rd-6th grade student in her school. "I think Simply Seder is wonderful," said teacher Carol Stav. "It is simple to use and the students are able to lead with ease." Check out this title and more here. We have quantity discounts.

Don't know which haggadah to use? Check out the guide to choose the one that will suit your seder best.)

Plan your seder. Use this Planning Checklist from Simply Seder to make seder preparation easy, keep track of all the details, and avoid a last-minute rush.

Get cooking. Download some free charoset recipes from Get Cooking! A Jewish American Family Cookbook by Mama Doni and Recipe Rachel. Order the cookbook for all 14 Passover recipes, plus a whole year of recipes and music for the whole family!

Set the scene. As you are putting together the seder plate, watch this funny video with your kids to "meet" each ingredient and learn what they represent.
