Project Based Learning in the Supplementary School—Yes, You CAN!
Online Learning Center Takes Off

Behrman House will be at the annual National Association of Temple Educators (NATE) Conference in Phoenix, AZ, from December 23-26. Join us for a breakout session on using the Online Learning Center for project based learning and don't forget to schedule time for a curriculum and online learning consultation.

Breakout Session: 5 Ways to Use the New Online Learning Center to Bring PBL to Your Classroom

Presented by Terry Kaye
Project-based learning is a dynamic technique for learning in the context of real life: it is hands-on, student-driven, and involves projects designed around real-world activities. Students build life skills while researching and tackling issues that are meaningful to them, resulting in learning that can be deeper and more lasting.

On Wednesday morning, December 26, NATE members attending the Behrman House breakout session will experience a live demo showing why the new Online Learning Center—a learning management system with Jewish content is IDEAL for PBL. It is the perfect...

...tool for teachers to organize, schedule, and administer student projects,
...resource bank for students to do research into their projects,
...private, secure online space for students to share, discuss, and comment on classmates’ work,
...method for teachers to monitor projects and assess progress.

We hope you’ll join us to experience the OLC live!

Personal Consulting: Sign up now

Terry Kaye and David Behrman will be available for personal consulting time to guide you in how best to use the OLC in your school or to talk through your curriculum. In the coffee shop, at the booth, or wherever you’d like to meet, we will:

Answer your questions about how the OLC works.
Plan with you how your teachers, students, and families can use the OLC to expand learning time, practice Hebrew skills online, and keep absent students current.
Respond to any challenges you have experienced, for example, getting everyone in the school signed up.
Customize a learning plan just for your school.

Email Terry to arrange a time to meet.  We can also talk to you personally before or after the conference—just let us know what works best for your schedule.

Unable to attend? You can still learn with us!

Even if you won’t be attending the NATE conference, we can bring some of the learning to you. Here’s how:
