Get Ready for a Fearless Aliyah
Written by Jessica Gurtman, 12 of July, 2011Do you have a child preparing for an upcoming Bar or Bat Mitzvah? Do you want some help to prepare for your aliyah? Do you have relatives who might appreciate guidance about their own honors? Let Behrman House help.
iTorah Blessings, the latest app from Behrman House, is designed to help make anyone comfortable inside the synagogue. Developed for iPhone and iPad, iTorahBlessings teaches the blessings for being called for an aliyah. Touch-and-Read technology plays each word individually as it is touched, simplifying learning, while the auto-record feature lets anyone hear themselves practice. iTorah Blessings also includes video demonstrations that explain an aliyah step by step, show how the Torah is decorated, and even provide traditional instructions for putting on a tallit.
Whether you are getting ready for an important life cycle event, or simply want to brush up before the high holidays, iTorah can be your tutor on the go. You can find out more about iTorah Blessings here.
