The Public Health Problem of Bullying
Students studying the Reconstructionist liturgy will soon be able to practice these prayers online thanks to a collaboration between Behrman House and the Jewish Reconstructionist movement.
Ten prayers and blessings will be available beginning mid-September, including Kiddush, Gevurot, Kedushah, Sim Shalom, Havdalah, Aleinu, and Kaddish, as well as the Blessing before the Torah Reading and the Haftarah Blessings.
Students will be able to both practice reading each prayer, and hear it read aloud or chanted. Each prayer will also be translated to aid sutdent understanding.
Downloadable versions of each prayer, as well as the online practice, will be available free to all Reconstructionist schools through the Behrman House Resource Libraries, in a special section for easy access.
Practice modules will also be available at behrmanhouse.com/students. A link to this page can be embedded directly onto your synoagogue or school website for one-click access to online prayer practice. (The page will be fully updated when the prayers are released, with a separate, easy access button for the Reconstructionist version.)
The online student practice of the Reconstructionist versions supplements the Kol Yisrael prayer Hebrew series, and it can be adapted for any prayer program.
Funding for this online initiative was provided by the Reconstructionist movement.
Encourage online practice for Hebrew reading fluency and for modern Hebrew at www.behrmanhouse.com/students. It's free! Great for parents, too.
