Four Ways to Add Movement to Any Class
Written by Behrman House Staff, 10 of March, 2014Terry Kaye headed down to St. Louis in February for Song Leader Boot Camp to be immersed in music education and leadership transformation and brought back a valuable insight - the value of movement in the classroom.
Terry recently published her experiences in a blog, 'Out of Your Seats: The Value of Movement in the Classroom' where she shares four ways educators, song leaders, and musicians incorporate movement into their leadership and worship.
"Movement is essential for integrating mind and body, it increases conceptual capacity, and draws participants into the experience in a safe way," Terry writes.
Along with examples of how facilitators use movement in their music sessions, Terry provides examples of ways to include movement in your lessons.
