Coming in 2018: A New Haggadah
Written by Behrman House Staff, 20 of December, 2017Here's a sneak peak at the beautiful Welcome to the Seder: A Passover Haggadah for Everyone, to be published in February.
Written by Rabbi Kerry Olitzky, former executive director of Big Tent Judaism and named by Newsweek as one of the 50 Leading Rabbis in North America, this inclusive Haggadah is ideal for multicultural, interfaith, and unaffiliated families. It includes traditional Passover texts supplemented by quotes, poems, readings, and stories that acknowledge, value, and include the wide range of backgrounds of seder participants today while inspiring us with a universal message of freedom.
Illustrated by Rinat Gilboa, an Israeli artist whose work has been featured on postage stamps for the State of Israel, as well as in several children's books, including Sing-Along Alef Bet, by Apples & Honey Press.
“If you are searching for an inclusive, beautiful, and easy-to-use creative Haggadah for Passover, look no further. Rabbi Kerry Olitzky offers a fresh take on the traditional ritual and Rina Gilboa’s artwork is delightful.”
-Rabbi Ron Wolfson, Fingerhut Professor of Education, American Jewish University
"Whether you have been leading seders for generations, or hope to lead one for the first time, this is a haggadah to inspire, educate, and enliven your table. [It's] a beautiful and accessible addition to our Passover library."
- Abigail Pogrebin, author of My Jewish Year: 18 Holidays, One Wondering Year
