It’s May!
In many places, that means the trees are blooming, the weather is getting warmer, and it’s time to start planning a summer vacation. In the customer support department at Behrman House, May is an indicator that educators will be calling in to ask all sorts of questions usually related to their curriculum options for the coming school year. Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of questions like:
“What’s new in the world of Jewish education?”
“What are other educators using in their schools?”
“I have new teachers starting in my school next year, what do I do?”
“My students are going to forget everything they learned in Hebrew class over the summer, what can I do about this?”
Often, these questions will preceed a common theme that usually sounds like, “My board needs me to make a decision on this now!” or “I’m going on vacation for the summer tomorrow, so I don’t have much time!”
Do any of these questions sound familiar? If you would like some answers, please contact me! It wouldn’t feel like the month of May if you didn’t.
